Cate and Jess met in the spring of 2016 when the two came across one another on a dating app. They instantly noticed how much they had in common, and after Jess sent a simple "Hi" to Cate, they were soon planning a first date. Two weeks later, after an "anything that can go wrong, will" date, Cate and Jess realized they shared something special and their relationship blossomed from there.
Since Cate was working as a stage manager at a theatre in town, Jess thought it would be romantic to propose to her there. After a day full of pampering, Jess led Cate on a scavenger hunt that ended at the theatre where she had decorated the main stage with Christmas decor (Cate's favorite holiday). The proposal was followed by an engagement party in the lobby where both of the soon-to-be-brides' friends and family were waiting for them.
During Pride Month 2019, Cate and Jess got married at a rustic venue in Atlanta that was as dreamy as ever. Complete with a bar stocked with their favorite drinks and a "gay agenda" that included everything from "the I do's" to "free booze," their wedding was nothing short of memorable. Jess wore a custom Tom James Company suit that was monogrammed with the date and the words "I do" on the cuffs, and accessorized with cute Pride flag socks. Cate wore a romantic lace gown that had a train, and finished her look with simple white Kate Spade Keds. The brides said their vows in front of a backdrop of bright hanging vines, and even had a light green wedding cake to match the theme.
Read on to get a peek inside their gorgeous ceremony ahead, and try not to tear up when you see the look on Jess's face when she sees Cate during their first look (and again during her walk down the aisle!).
