There are two types of people in this world: those who know that every single french fry should be crispy, and those who are wrong. No matter what type of fries you like — whether it be waffle fries, crinkle-cut fries, shoestring fries, steak fries, what have you — we all know they're best when each bite is crisp and gives you that satisfying crunch sound. And while it can be nearly impossible to request this when you order fries at a restaurant, when you make them at home, you have total control over the crispiness. Still, it can be tricky to achieve. Enter: this pretty genius potato-peel hack.

TikTok user Sonny Hurrell (@thatdudecancook) shared his secret for getting crispy fries every time, and we can't wait to try it. While you might normally throw away the potato peels when making fries, his trick is to actually use them. The result? A french fry/potato chip hybrid. All you have to do is wash and dry your potato peels before frying them in oil at 350 degrees for about two to four minutes depending on the size of your peels. They come out super crispy, and you can top them with whatever you want, from plain salt to rosemary seasoning and cheese.

Another TikTok user, Sophia Wasu (@aquickspoonful), tried out this hack on her account and revealed not only does it work, but it's also one of her new favorite snacks. We have a feeling we're right behind ya.
