We've said it before and we'll say it again: Jerry Harris is a star. The Navarro College cheerleader, who was a central focus of the Netflix docuseries Cheer, has become famous for the unparalleled way he motivates his teammates, which is referred to as mat talk.
In his recent appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Jerry described the practice as "giving encouragement to anybody that's on the floor with you, and letting them know that you have somebody that's looking out for you and wants to be there for you," to which the talk show host replied, "Whenever I'm on stage, I should bring you on the side."
In light of his sudden stardom, Netflix enlisted Jerry to mat talk regular folks arriving at work in a wildly entertaining video, which includes words of encouragement like, "Today is your day," "You are a star baby," and, a personal favorite, "Yes, heels!" If you're at work, home, or truly wherever, enjoy the mood-boosting video above.
