Selena Gomez Knows That Cannes Is Much More Fun in Leather and Diamonds
When Selena Gomez touched down in France for the Cannes Film Festival, we knew we'd be in for a treat. Sure enough, just hours after posting some getting ready selfies on her Instagram, Selena hit the red carpet for the event's opening ceremony and screening of The Dead Don't Die, dressed to the nines in Louis Vuitton.
The songstress wore a leather and satin bustier and slitted skirt, complete with edgy details like belt buckle straps, sharp hardware, quilted fabric, and pleating that gave way to Selena's leggy moment in sky-high, silver metallic Jimmy Choo platforms. Selena played up the eye-catching footwear with a Bulgari diamond choker necklace and stud earrings. Her makeup was all about the vintage glamour, with a red lip and extended cat eye.
Selena joined Chloë Sevigny, Adam Driver, Luka Sabbat, Bill Murray, and Tilda Swinton to pose for pictures, showing off her outfit from every angle. Scroll to check out the secret detail on the back of Selena's lingerie-inspired top: crisscross laces that tie in the back, providing an extra dose of excitement to an already dazzling look. We may be going out on a limb here, but we have a feeling this is the start of a red carpet renaissance for Ms. Gomez, who has gone through so many fabulous stages with the help of her stylist, Kate Young.
