Lady Gaga Took the '80s Prom Dress For a Spin — Are You Down to Dance in One?
Lady Gaga is never one to shy away from an unconventional red carpet look. When she stepped out for the Daily Front Row Awards in LA, where she spoke onstage to honor her hair stylist, Frederic Aspiras, she was wearing a Rodarte dress with matching earrings right off the Fall 2019 runway. The star amped up the appeal with Marilyn Monroe curls and crystal eye makeup. Her Giuseppe Zanotti pumps might've been simple, but she didn't exactly need a jazzy shoe to invite any more head turns.
The '80s prom dress, with its exaggerated, floofy sleeves, ruffled hemlines, and bows, is back in full force. We're even pretty sure one of the Spring 2019 Rodarte gowns was based on Josie Geller's Never Been Kissed design. What do you say? Would you try one of these elaborate dresses on for size if it means sparking some nostalgia? What's more, would you be daring enough to dance the night away in one, just like Gaga did with Frederic? Scroll for an all-angles view of the moment, and don't forget to weigh in.
