We initially were hesitant about anyone being able to do Princess Diana justice in the upcoming Spencer film, but we have to admit, Kristen Stewart makes a pretty convincible Lady Spencer. On Feb. 25, the 30-year-old actress was spotted on set in Germany, and she totally pulled off Diana's signature style as she rocked a red-and-green plaid blazer, sunglasses, and that famous shaggy blond hairstyle. On March 3, she was seen again, only this time wearing a tan gingham wrap coat at Schloss Nordkirchen, a palace.
We first got a peek at Stewart as Diana when the official photos of the Pablo Larraín-directed project were released back in January, which is when production began. When asked how she was preparing to take on the momentous role, Stewart told InStyle that nailing the accent was "intimidating as all hell" because Diana's voice is "so, so distinct and particular." She added: "I'm working on it now and already have my dialect coach. In terms of research, I've gotten through two and a half biographies, and I'm finishing all the material before I actually go make the movie. It's one of the saddest stories to exist ever, and I don't want to just play Diana — I want to know her implicitly. I haven't been this excited about playing a part, by the way, in so long."
Spencer will center on one significant moment in Diana's life, when she finally decided to leave Prince Charles while spending Christmas with the British royal family at the Sandringham estate in Norfolk, England. The film is set to debut later this fall.
