The 2020 Grammy nominations may have already been announced, but we'd like the Recording Academy to consider Alicia Keys and Billie Eilish's recent "Ocean Eyes" duet for, well, every single freakin' award. The talented singers teamed up to perform the 2016 hit on The Late Late Show With James Corden on Monday night, and goodness gracious, was it angelic. After setting the mood with dim blue lighting in the studio, Keys launched into the song on the piano and took turns crooning verses with Eilish until they finally harmonized together, blending their contrasting voices into one heavenly melody.
Their joint performance comes just a week after Keys released a studio cover of "Ocean Eyes" on her Spotify and four months after she delighted her Instagram followers with the same cover. I mean, we can hardly blame her for being so captivated by the song! Watch their stripped-down late-night duet above, then see Eilish surprise Keys with an old video of her singing "Fallin'" at a talent show when she was just 12 years old. We stan this musical duo!
