On Friday, Keanu Reeves made his first-ever appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and shared an interesting piece of information about his former costar Sandra Bullock. He and Ellen began discussing the 1997 film Speed, in which Keanu and Sandra portray two people who must stop a bomb from exploding on a bus. Their characters end up having romantic feelings for each other, but according to Keanu, those feelings were also real off screen. "She obviously didn't know I had a crush on her," he admitted. Ironically, Sandra told Ellen during an interview in December that she felt something for Keanu. But neither one of them ever made a move, believing the other person wouldn't feel the same way.
The two went on to play love interests again in 2006's The Lake House, but that also remained strictly professional. Currently, Sandra is in a relationship with photographer Bryan Randall and Keanu — in all his hot glory — is single (although we're still holding out hope that he and Winona Ryder become an item). We're happy for both Sandra and Keanu, but we do wonder what could have been if they'd told each other their true feelings over two decades ago. *sigh*
